Problem Solving
During the process of trying to complete my first Maya Rigging, skinning and animation session I have run into a problem, this problem is that the network license for Maya and Autodesk is not being read correctly and the software will not load. I believe that this has come about because the college server that holds all of the licenses has shut down or stopped working, also, this problem is not just affecting me but the whole class so I know that it is not to do with just my account.
I believe that I can fix this by reporting the problem to the tutor who will then contact the tech support team at Colchester who will hopefully look into the issue, in the mean time I will look at another task such as idea generation or research into PEGI ratings so I am not just wasting my time waiting for the server.
I managed to fix this issue by reporting the issue and waiting for it to be resolved, it took until Thursday for the problem to be resolved and I finished the Maya task on that Thursday.
During the process of uploading my videos to YouTube ready for evidence on this Wix site I have run into an issue instead of selecting and renaming a video file I have accidently deleted it from the SSD. I believe that this has come about because I have clicked on the incorrect tab to rename and instead clicked delete, as the PC has no Trash Can folder I am unable to retrieve the video.
I believe that I can fix this by re-recording the video and making sure in the future that I create a backup of my videos or upload them to YouTube straight away so I have a backup in case I delete a video again.
As you can see the delete option is directly above the rename option so it was very easy to miss click on this menu.
I managed to fix this issue by re-recording the video in my spare time and immediately uploading the video file to YouTube.
During the process of opening my project in Unreal Engine I have run into an issue regarding the length of time taken to compile shaders.
I do not believe that I can fix this issue because I have experienced it before and it seems to also be a college wide issue so I do not think that I will be able to fix this successfully.
I did not manage to fix this issue because it is a college server issue and so I and my college tutors were unable to fix this.
During the login process to Google and the PC I have run into a server issue, I am unable to login successfully, I believe that this is a college wide issue and so I may be unable to resolve this.
I do not believe that I can fix this, however, I can report the issue to tech support to see if the issue will be resolved.
I did not manage to fix this issue, but I did report it to tech support so hopefully the next project will run smoothly.
